Guardians of the Light
|592 [ 0 ]||The Dark Portal is opened by Medivh, and the Horde Invasion of Azeroth begins.|
|Alec Bluesteel of Alterac, Commander of the Bluesteel Guardians, falls in love with a young priest named Sera of Westfall as he and his soldiers aid the refugees fleeing the destruction of Stormwind. They marry and nine months later, give birth to Elyssah Bluesteel.|
|598 [ 6 ]||The Second War Begins.|
|The Kingdom of Alterac joins the Alliance of Lordaeron. Commander Alec and his Bluesteel Guardians are originally ordered to join the main Alliance forces.|
|599 [ 7 ]||For undisclosed reasons, the Bluesteel Guardians are recalled to Alterac and reassigned to border defense under the command of General Hath.|
|A scouting party of Horde slips passed the Alliance defenses and murders Sera Bluesteel and her guards when she stumbles upon their camp. It is later discovered that Lord Perenolde as been secretly aiding the Horde and allowing them access into Alliance territory. Enraged at the betrayal of Perenolde, Alec follows Hath in disavowing his ties to the corrupt Lord and pledging the Bluesteel Guardians to Lordaeron and the Alliance.
|600 [ 8 ]||The aftermath of the Second War found the Bluesteel Guardians patrolling the abandoned Alterac City and defending the area's many mountain passes for the Kingdom of Lordaeron. There they build a small outpost of their own, and become known as a strategic training base for anyone interested in the combat arts.|
|A close friend of Alec's dies during the war, leaving his two children orphaned. Ketch and Kellia Wreathwind become Bluesteel's wards, and he raises the older children along side his daughter.|
|612 ||The Third War Begins. Rumors of a mysterious and deadly plague start to reach Commander Bluesteel. The soldiers he trained and taught are being called to service.but no word is heard from them after. Then rumors became reality as Prince Arthas slays his own father in cold blood.|
|As the Scourge armies advanced through the Kingdom, Alec knows it was only a matter of time before they reached their remote outpost. Expecting the worst and fearing for the safety of his daughter and his young trainees, he orders Elyssah to lead a regiment to Stormwind, assigning Ketch as her second-in-command. He gives his daughter and her new troops a message for King Varien, warning him of the plague and the Scourge. Arthas's undead forces chose the same day to attack, laying siege to the mountain pass. Commander Bluesteel rallies his soldiers and they buy time for his daughter's regiment to escape at the cost of their own lives.
|After a breif mourning period, Elyssah, Ketch, and their troops decide to rebuild their Order under a new banner, in honor of Commander Alec and the fallen Bluesteel Guardians. The newly formed Guardians of the Light vow to carry out the final Orders of Commander Bluesteel and swear to avenge Prince Arthas's betrayal before making their way south to Stormwind. Their sojourn is long and difficult, as the small force is confronted with orc patrols, challenged by roving bands of thieves and pursued by the Scourge along every step.|
|613 ||The arrival of the Guardians of the Light to Stormwind City is anti-climatic; the King has already received word of the Scourge. However, the Guardians are committed to carrying out their mission to avenge the fallen. After a brief period to recover from their flight, they petition the king and join the Armies of the Alliance once more. The Order often finds itself assigned to patrols and answering requests for aid from the kingdom's villages and towns. The Guardians of the Light bide their time, waiting for the opportunity to strike back against the Lich King and his Scourge.|
|614 ||Ketch and Elyssah are married, much to the amusement of all who knew of their romance.|
|615 ||In return for their service, the Guardians are rewarded with Light's Keep, an abandoned outpost located in the moutains between Redridge and Duskwood.|
|617 ||World of Warcraft begins. After four years of loyal service, the Guardians of the Light petition King Wrynn for permission to aid the Argent Dawn in the Plaguelands. Their request is granted, and the Guardians join the battle against the Scourge once again. Shortly after, King Varien is ambushed on his way to Theramore, an is presumed dead.|
|The first Night Elves join the ranks of the Order.|
|618 ||Doom Lord Kazzak reopens the Dark Portal, and all Alliance forces are recalled to battle for the fate of Draenor. The Guardians of the Light put their mission on hold to aid the Alliance in defeating the forces of Illidan and Kael'thas.|
|The first Draenei join the ranks of the Order.|
|With the defeat of Illidan and Kael'thas, the Guardians of the Light return to Azeroth. The Order begins preperations to return to the Plaguelands.|
|619 ||The Scourge launch pre-emptive attacks, with Necropolus assults focusing on the major cities across Azeroth. These evil, flying fortresses carry within them units of Scourge, which mercilessly attack anyone or thing they came across.|
|The Knights of the Ebonblade, a group of Death Knights who served the Lich King, are abandoned by their ruler at Light's Hope Chapel, where they are freed from his control. At the request of many notible figures, including Highlord Tirion Fordring, the Guardians agree to accept those who wish to serve the Alliance and aid them in their mission to destroy the Lich King.|
|The Guardians of the Light join King Varien Wrynn and the rest of the Alliance in Northrend.|
|Ketch is captured by Kel'Thuzud's servants and inprisioned within the dread Citadel Naxxramas. The Guardians rescue him and defeat the Lich.
|The Alliance launches a final assult on Icecrown Citadel. Though unable to confront the Lich King themselves, the Guardians of the Light aid in defeating the Scourge minions and held back the undead forces while Highlord Tirion Fordring defeated Arthas.|
|The Guardians return to Stormwind to recouperate. With the Lich King defeated, King Varien begins spreading patrols back across the Kingdom to combat the minor threats that have rose up since his disappearance three years ago. The Guardians are assigned to Lakeshire and the Redridge territory.|
|620 ||Deathwing emerges from Deepholm and launches his attack upon all of Azeroth. The resulting Cataclysm reshapes many familar landscapes and destroys Light's Keep. The Guardians of the Light move into Stonewatch Keep and rebuild their base while monitoring Blackrock Mountain.
