STONEWATCH KEEP
Roleplay Chat Setting

Stonewatch Keep is the most recent home to the Guardians of the Light. We use the keep and its surrounding area as a setting for our guild chat to help facilitate casual roleplay among our guild members while still allowing them to pursue other interests, such as questing and gathering. All RP that occurs in guild chat should be assumed to happen on the grounds of the Keep.

The History of Stonewatch
Stonewatch Keep was originally an Alliance Stronghold that protected the village of Lakeshire and the territory of Redridge. During the Second War, The Blackrock Clan of orcs attacked and destroyed part of the keep, slaying the soldiers within. They held domain over Stonewatch for many years and used it as a strategic launching point for many invasions.

After joining the Alliance forces, the Guardians of the Light were assigned to deal with the Blackrock threat as they best saw fit. The orcs were slain mercilessly and survivors were driven from the keep back into the Burning Steppes. The Guardians then began plans to restore the keep and to take advantage of it's location as a forward outpost against further Blackrock threat.

When the cataclysm decimated their previous home, Light's Keep, the Guardians did additional renovations to Stonewatch Keep to accommodate their large numbers to supplement the initial repairs. The Guardians are now making the most of their new home as each adds their own unique touch to the vibrant landscape that is Redridge.

The Layout

Main Floor

When entering the Keep proper, the knight is greeted with a stone wall decorated with the Order's banner, bracketed by the banners of Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus and the Exodar. Taking the hall to the left leads them to the armory, where surplus armor and other equipment are stored. The left passes by the indoor baths that our clever engineers rigged for the comfort of our members. Past the baths are the men and women's barracks, where the Squires and Knights sleep and store their gear. At the end of the hall are the kitchens, where those with some culinary talent prepare meals for the rest of the Order. To the left of the kitchens is the mess hall, where Guardians take their meals. The stairs to the second floor are found here, as well as the stairs down to the cellar. Through the mess hall and completing the circle of halls is the Infirmary, where sick and injured Guardians are cared for until they recover.

Second Floor

Taking the stairs in the mess hall will lead the knight to a balcony that sits above the mess hall, providing additional seating for the hungry soldiers or an amount of privacy for small groups. On either side are identical stairwells leading to the roof of the keep and hallways that wrap around to the Great Hall. On the south hall another branches off, leading to private rooms for higher ranking members of the Order. These rooms are small and sparse, offering only a single bed, limited personal storage, and above all, privacy.

Third Floor

The majority of the third level is taken up by the Great Hall, the single largest room in the Keep. This room has ample seating and is the common gathering place for the Guardians after a hard day's labor. If need be, this room can seat most of the members of the ranks comfortably at once, and all of them under very crowded conditions. The back quarter of the room has a waist-high railing sectioning it off from the rest of the floor. More banners similar to the ones in the entry way hang from the ceiling, effectively cutting it off from the rest of the Hall. This area is referred to as the "strategy room". Here is where the Leaders, Captains, and Sergeants gather to discuss tactics, strategy, and administrative duties. Outside the front of the Hall are a pair of stairwells that lead down to storage rooms.
